The practice of Yoga includes Seva, or service. Yogis believe in using yoga to help alleviate pain and suffering in others. This inspired Stan and Gina Woodman to start the Kaia Foundation, a charitable organization that believes service is not only good for the community, it’s good for the soul.
Our mission is to relieve suffering using mindfulness, non-violence, yoga, Buddhism, and mind-body oriented practices! Our work is mainly directed towards women and children-issues locally, nationally and internationally.
Currently, we are working with 4 charities: Family Centers of southern Fairfield County; the Veterans Coalition at Sacred Heart University; Project Return local women's shelters, and the anti-trafficking organization, Odanadi India.
If you have an organization that you think would benefit from Kaia Foundation please contact us with your ideas or requests.
