This is a two-part workshop.
An overview of the entire Buddhist path and the relevance it has for people like us, living now, in our everyday lives. People have come to identify Buddhism with mindfulness and that is true, but it is also so much more. There is real training in developing kindness, compassion (to oneself and others), wisdom, and very practical skills concerning relationships, business, creativity, and personal health and vitality.
Meditation instruction, practice, talks and discussion.
David Nichtern is a senior teacher in the Shambhala Buddhist lineage of Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche and Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche. David has been co-director of the LA Shambhala Center and Karme Choling Meditation Center in Vermont, as well as Director of Expansion for Shambhala Training International.
