"Wall Workshops Series" Join Mike at the Yoga Wall in a journey of exploration and discovery, as you work to find “new connections” in alignment and engagement that will being strength and stability to your postures and deeper levels of awareness to your practice. By using a variety of props and working with the straps and harnesses on the yoga wall, you will learn how to access and apply these connections without the “chitta vritti” - “distractions of the mind” - of maintaining your balance in the middle of the room. Each workshop will sharpen your awareness of the natural connections within the body that can increase your range of motion. When combined with the breath, this “new” awareness provides you with the opportunity to create deeper openings and add a sense of “lightness” or “effort-less-ness” to your postures.
The “Wall Workshop Series” consists of 5 workshops, meeting on a Sunday afternoon from 1:00 to 3:00 pm.
March 22nd - Opening Your Side-waist for Deeper Twists
April 19th - Release Your Hamstrings for Deeper Forward Bends
May 24th - Opening and Strengthening Your Shoulders
June 21st - The ABC’s of Backbends
July 19th - The CBA’s of Inversions
