Yin & the Yama/Niyamas

November 7th

Cost: 35 / Both sessions: $60

What’s a Yama? What’s a Niyama?
And what does Yin have to do with it?
Join Naomi Norman for a two-part workshop exploring the foundations of Patanjali’s 8-limb path of yoga -- through the practice of Yin Yoga.

Take a deep dive into the ethical guidelines that form the first two branches of the 8-limb path of yoga. The yamas and niyamas are jewels of wisdom that help us lead a richer, more authentic, more joyful life.

We will learn about and embody these qualities through the meditative practice of Yin Yoga. The long-held poses of Yin Yoga stimulate and strengthen connective tissue, which can help encourage a freer flow of energy and overall sense of well-being.

Appropriate for all levels. Bring a journal and an open mind.

Take one or both workshops

Please note: This workshop will be offered in our Mamaroneck studio for fully vaccinated students only. Proof of vaccination will be required for those attending.
