Weekly Ancient Wisdom for Modern Minds
Join Kaia Yoga teacher Carl T. Vreeland for weekly evening dharma talks.
Carl will use his book, The Unself-Help Book: How to Get Out of Your Own Way and Start Being Happy, alongside the Buddha’s Four Noble Truths, the Eightfold Path, and the Five Remembrances, as a lens for discussion.
These texts will be presented practically and applied to daily life. Yoga, Taoism, twelve-step spiritual principles, and other ideas from Carl’s book will also be explored and discussed.
Each session will begin with a grounding meditation.
The first session is free for everyone; subsequent sessions are $10 per class for both members and non-members.
Carl T. Vreeland
Carl is very passionate about Yoga, and teaching has allowed him to express this passion. “Yoga has improved my physical, emotional, and spiritual life, and one of my goals as a teacher is to guide others to experience these benefits.” With a focus on the breath, Carl guides his students through a creative sequence of postures and instructs his students into proper alignment to help develop strength and ease—a duality he speaks of frequently throughout his classes. Carl has been teaching for over 18 years. He completed his 200-hour teacher training at OM Yoga and his meditation training at ISHTA, both in New York City.
