A Safe Journey to Upside-Down with Saya Suyama
Ready to explore the world upside-down?
In this workshop, you will be guided through the basics of safe and effective inversions. Whether you’re new to inversions or struggling with balance, we’ll focus on alignment, strength-building, and proper entry and exit techniques to help you feel confident and supported.
The main focus will be supported headstand, with some work on tripod headstand and pincha mayurasana (forearm balance) for those ready to challenge themselves. Expect drills to build strength, step-by-step instructions, and personalized guidance to help you progress safely.

Saya Suyama, 500hr RYT
Saya received both her 200hr and 300hr certifications at Vikasa Yoga in Thailand, learning from master teachers Kosta Miachin and Daniel Rama. Saya likes to think of asana (the physical practice of yoga) as a form of moving meditation. Her classes are carefully and thoughtfully prepared so that each pose flows seamlessly with the next, while opening the body in all directions of movement. She focuses on alignment and breath to achieve the maximum benefits of yoga. Saya views yoga as a practice of coming home and finding freedom within.
